By request, here is when Steve Jobs introduced Mac OS X for the first time ever. I edited the video myself to show the very best moments of the presentation & split it up into 3 parts on account of youtube's bogus time limit.

http://live.pirillo. com - One of the reasons why I fell in love with the PC back in the day, was because I could tweak it. I loved playing with configuration. I love to mess around and discover speed tweaks that are turned off by default. Blog post: http://chris.pirillo .com/2008/06/18/spee d-up-mac-os-x-for-fr ee/

Here's a short video clip showing the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 netbook booting up OS X. I used the MSI Wind OS X distro that's been used for a number of netbooks thus far. It's still a work in progress but it's fun to see OS X running on something so small

We can now boot an unmodified and unopened AppleTV from an external USB hard drive. We're running the same modified OS as in my last video, but this time it's on an external USB hard drive with a modified partition type and one small file change.

http://live.pirillo. com - There are arguments claiming that Mac OS X is not configurable. That could have been the case way back before OS X. However, Macs have been "tweakable" for years.

I'm amazed at how quickly the MSI Wind goes to sleep and wakes back up with Mac OS X. Actually, the video would have been even shorter if I hadn't been so shocked and mesmerized by this. I haven't modified the netbook hardware in any way at this point: this is the "stock" Intel Atom at 1.6 GHz, the 5400 RPM hard drive with 80 GB of capacity and the factory installed 1 GB of RAM.
